The Winner Takes All Competition Series
This is a competition series held over the course of a year. Athletes compete in multiple competitions hoping to take home first place and qualify for our final event at the end of the year. In order to move on competitors must win a competition involved in the series. Each competition varies in format and the series ends up in a full day final event to crown the overall winner!
Our first Series was held in 2021 and gave a prize payout of $1,500 to the male and female champions!
Our second Series will begin in January 2023 and will give prize payouts to the male and female champions of $1,500 for our Pro division and $300 in our Amateur division.

Winner Takes All Series 2 - Beginning January 2023
Winner Takes All Series 2 is officially back and better than ever. We will be operating under the same format as usual with a few changes. Athletes will compete on different course formats throughout the year trying to win a competition and earn qualification to our Final event.
That being said, this year we will be hosting two different divisions - Pro and Amateur. There will be prize money for both divisions.
Any athletes who competed in the Elite division of the WNL for Season 8 OR made our Winner Takes All Final event in 2021 are required to compete in the Pro division of our series. All other athletes may choose to compete Amateur or Pro. Athletes may switch divisions throughout the competition series, so an athlete is allowed to compete in the Amateur division at first and move up to the Pro division depending on the competition. Athletes who win Amateur division competitions and advance to the Finals are then allowed to compete as a Pro and try to earn their spot there as well, however once an athlete wins a Pro division competition, they are no longer allowed to compete in future Winner Takes All competitions until the Finals. If an athlete earns a Finals spot in the Amateur and Pro divisions, then their Amateur spot will be given to the 2nd place finisher at the competition they earned it at.
Run orders for ALL Winner Takes All competitions will now be determined based off of our legacy ranking system. This system takes into account all competitions athletes have ever done at TA Fitness Plymouth. Both placement and number of competitions an athlete has done play a part in determining their ranking. Athletes who have never competed at TA Fitness Plymouth before will have to run first.
Any athletes who turn 13 by December 31st, 2023 are allowed to compete in the Winner Takes All series.

Competition #3 : ISO Style (split courses)
Our 3rd Competition of Series 2 will take place on September 16th, 2023 and will feature separate Male and Female courses! Both of these courses will be run in isolation, where none of the other athletes will be able to see your course run. Each athlete will get two attempts on the course to make it as far as possible and we will take your better score of the two attempts. The male and female athletes who score the best in each division (pro and amateur) will advance to our Winner Takes All Final event! After their second run, athletes may stay out and watch the rest of the competition. Male athletes are also welcome to spectate the Female Wave earlier in the day if they choose.
